Thumbnails from Caracol

Caracol is estimated to have had 150,000 inhabitants (compare with modern Belize's population of 270,000) at its peak (somewhere between 250-900 AD) and at one point dominated the society at Tikal. Only 5-10% of the site has been excavated yet!
